Piece of Clay

Maybe I am a boy
in a room outside
looking like nothing other
than master of arithmetic or a stupid fool.

Maybe I am a boy
under the table
laughing in your face
at the things I do to make you squirm.

Maybe I am a boy
at Niagra Falls
sliding down my hips
to ride or fall or fuck you for faking.

Maybe I am a boy
on the windowsill
molding legs into sculptures
naked as clay spread into a million pieces.

Maybe I am a boy,
but you’d say anything to sculpt me.
