What’s Your Tradition?

In America we lack certain”¦traditions. The Spanish enjoy the siesta; the French have affairs; for the British, there’s afternoon tea.

But what’s our tradition? Who knows – we’re too busy rushing around. We’re so accustomed to a Starbucks and Pete’s on every corner, the idea of taking time for tea at home”¦well, it just doesn’t happen. I say it’s time to make time for tea, because nothing beats a good, strong pot of Earl Grey (there’s decaf for all of you non-caffeinators).

And why not serve it with this Porcelain Branch Tea Set? Non-toxic as well as textured to feel like tree bark, this charming set has eco tea time written all over it. The teapot is on sale at VivaTerra for $27, while the matching Creamer & Sugar set is $49.

Just think of all the logo-covered paper cups you’ll save as you also save your sanity. I’m tired of rushing around!

  1. Good grief, how did I miss this one? I *love* this tea-set. And yes, Earl Grey is what I’d have brewing – that or some sweet Chai. (English – me? Why, yes – how did you guess?).

  2. Whenever I would go to my grandmother’s house, we would always have tea with honey. She never used mugs, just exquisite china cups and saucers. These are memories I cherish so I always offer tea to my guests and look forward to having tea parties of my own someday with my grandchildren.
