Jens Praet’s One Day Paper Waste

And not a day too late.

We’ve seen all kinds of stuff made from recycled trash. Some of it, very cool. Some of it, well, never mind. We love the idea of reusing, but the end result definitely needs a little bit of je ne sais quoi.

Jens Praet has found just the quoi I’m referring to” in a day of paper waste. He takes shredded confidential documents, mixes them with resin and condenses them into a strong mold. His first creation was a cabinet – which he still manufacturers upon request. More recently, Praet made the one day paper waste – table which sold out of its limited edition of 12. Droog Design has since taken over manufacturing and distribution – a great addition to their repertoire.

The table measures 33.5″ w x 16″ d x 27.5″ h. For more information, inquire at Droog Design or email Jens Praet.

I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Praet yet.
